Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I don’t know anything about art, will your book still help me make money?

A. You don’t need to have a Ph.D. in art history to be able to flip art. You don't really need to know anything about art at all, actually.  In my book, l teach you such things as how to use clues on a piece of art to discover who the artist is, determine whether the artist is well-collected, tell a real from a fake, and estimate how much it’s worth.  All of these skills are easily learned if you know the right things to look for.  My book will tell you everything you need to know.

Q. What if I don't have the time to flip art?

A. You don’t need to quit your day job to flip art (although you might be able to if you get good enough!).  Flipping art is easily done with just a few hours of commitment per week.  You can put as little or as much time into it as you want.  Just remember, the more time you dedicate, the higher your potential returns.

Q. What if I can’t afford to risk any money on flipping art?

A. You don’t need thousands and thousands of dollars to start flipping art.  There are many things that you can find for pennies on the dollar that you can turn around and sell for a huge profit.  But as with anything, there is always a risk.  The aim in my book is to help you understand how to minimize this risk as much as possible.

Q. Where do I find valuable art?

A. Contrary to what many people believe, there are tons of places to find art if you know where to look!  In the book, I tell you all about how to find these items at estate sales, antique flea markets, antique stores, thrift stores, on Craigslist, on Ebay, at minor art auctions, and many more places!

Q. Art is so easy to forge, how can you possibly tell a fake from a real piece?

A. Though art forgery and misrepresentation is a legitimate concern, it’s not as rampant as people might think.  Determining if a piece is authentic is really quite simple.  In the book, I go through in detail how to evaluate elements such as signature, medium, condition, subject, age, quality, rarity, and much more.

Q. How can you tell a good flip from a bad flip?

A. Don’t get too preoccupied with this initial concern.  It may seem hard at first to tell pieces apart or valuate them properly to make an informed flipping decision.  But after I show you how to use the bountiful resources on the Internet to authenticate and valuate items, you will no longer be worried about this.

Q. How do I sell a valuable piece of art?

A. This is the easy part, so don’t let this hold you back.  In my book, I go into detail about how to market your pieces once you’re ready to flip them.  We’ll utilize such venues as major art auctions, minor art auctions, Ebay, Craigslist, and several others to help your piece sell for the highest possible amount.

Q. I purchased your eBook but am getting errors when I try to open it?

A. Please download the latest version of Adobe Reader.

Q. I do not live in the U.S. Will your book still work for me?

A. Absolutely. The principles of flipping art and all the tricks, insider secrets, and protips in my book are universal.
